I am often compelled to stop and take pictures when I am driving, especially when hitting the backroads. Sometimes from my drivers seat but I often just pull over , just using my phone, which of course is always handy. I have a thing for clouds and interesting signage. When I saw this little “Allen Photography” building in West Pelzer, South Carolina I pulled right into a parking lot across the street.
The important thing is to always be looking, it is easy to get caught up in your own head when you’re driving but I try to take in the beauty all around me. If not with a camera then with my eyes and heart, to appreciate it while I can.
I also recently picked up a great little Nikon point and shoot film camera, I have taken some of my drive by images with that still have to process them. Film cameras can be had very cheap these days and can make life more interesting.
